How to Install My Pace Edwards

The Pace Edwards cover is used to protect objects in the back of a truck. If you use a truck as a work truck and often carry loads, you can use the cover as protection from rain or bad weather. The cover is made to be weather resistant and retractable. The Pace Edwards cover kit comes with most of the items needed for installation so that you can do it yourself.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the wiring harness into the pocket hole. Pull it through the frame. Place it through the firewall and up into the electrical center underneath the hood of the truck.

    • 2

Remove the pre-installed plug at the end of the cover. Pull it in the direction of the engine compartment. Place the cover on top of the truck bed.

    • 3

Place the side rails where the cover will retract through. It electronically retracts and closes. Push the cover through the rails.

    • 4

Place the clamps where the side rails end. This will hold the cover in place.

    • 5

Set the cover to match the size of the truck bed with the shims and the flat stock. The shims are adjustable clamps.

    • 6

Place the "Brain" of the Pace Edwards cover on the tailgate and secure it with the double-sided tape. This is what controls the movement of the cover. This will stop the cover from moving when it touches any object directly in its path.

    • 7

Remove any excess harness with the cutter. Place the lid that came with the kit firmly on top of the cover.
