Instructions

    • 1

Mark the location where each leg of the swing set will sit in the ground. Use a small stake to mark.

    • 2

Remove the stakes one at a time, and use a shovel to dig holes at each location. The hole should be approximately 5 inches deep and about a foot in diameter.

    • 3

Line the bottom of each hole with 1- or 2-inch-thick flat stones or bricks. If possible, use one piece of stone or one brick, or as few as possible.

    • 4

Set up the swing set, putting each leg in the center of the holes you dug and on top of the stone or brick. The legs should now be at least 3 inches underground, and they should all be even.

    • 5

Pour concrete into each hole. Make sure each leg is completely covered in concrete. Allow it to cure completely before using the swing set.

Tips & Warnings

  • Check the weather forecast and anchor the swing set during a period of time when precipitation is highly unlikely.
