How to Make a Pig Mouth Puppet
Children love to play house and make-believe to express themselves. Often, they use puppets as characters depending on the scenarios they create. For example, children can make up a farm yard scene with a whimsical pig as the main character. You can support this kind of creative play by showing children how to make the hand puppets. A pig mouth puppet only requires common craft materials such paper sandwich bag and acrylic paint -- and some creativity.
Things You'll Need

1
Cut out two 2-inch equilateral triangles from pink construction paper. In an equilateral triangle, all sides are equally long.
-
2
Paint the outside of a paper sandwich bag with light pink acrylic paint. Allow the paint to dry completely.
-
-
3
Using markers, color the inside flap of the paper bag to look like the inside of a pig's mouth. Include teeth and a tongue.
-
4
Glue the two triangles onto the top edge of the flap. These will be the ears of the pig puppet.
-
5
Glue two googly eyes onto the flap.
-
6
Cut out a 2-inch oval from pink construction paper and glue it underneath the eyes. This will be the pig's snout.
-
7
Draw two nostrils onto the snout using a dark pink marker. This will complete the pig mouth puppet. When you put the paper bag onto your hand, you can open and close the big mouth of the pig.
