How to Configure ProLink for a Radio Shack Pro-2017
The RadioShack Pro-2017 is a 200-channel desktop scanner. ProLink, on the other hand, is a software that you may use to upload frequencies needed to operate the Pro-2017. Note that you will need to install ProLink on your computer to configure ProLink for the Pro-2017. You may download one for free (see Resources) if you do not have a copy yet. Also, you will require administrative rights and privileges to complete this task.

Turn off your RadioShack Pro-2017.

Use the provided cable to connect the desktop scanner to your computer.

Click the Start menu and select "All Programs." Click to launch "ProLink."

Type a new frequency under "Frequency" as per your preference. Type a description for that specific frequency under the "Description" field.

Choose "True" for "Delay." This will add delay to the next frequency.

Choose "True" for "Lockout" to lock it out from scanning.

Choose "True" for "Priority" to select the added frequency as your priority frequency.

Push and hold the "9" key and the "Ent" key on your desktop scanner. Wait until you see the "Wired" message on the screen.

Click "Upload All."

Click "OK" to end the task.
