Instructions for Seashell Christmas Wreaths

Instructions for Seashell Christmas Wreaths thumbnail
Seashell wreaths can be hung up at a beach house for Christmas.

If you are spending the winter holidays at a beach house, you may find it difficult to decorate the house using an evergreen Christmas tree because it will look out of place. One solution is to combine elements of the beach with elements of Christmas. For example, you can make a Christmas wreath that incorporates green and red ribbons with seashells and starfish that you can collect around your beach house.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert a hot glue stick into the back of a hot glue gun.

    • 2

Plug in the gun to heat up for five to seven minutes.

    • 3

Lay a straw wreath flat on a tabletop.

    • 4

Squeeze a dollop of hot glue onto one side of a seashell, and press the shell onto the straw wreath. Hold it in place until the glue cools.

    • 5

Continue gluing on seashells until the wreath is filled.

    • 6

Squeeze a dollop of hot glue onto the back of a starfish, then press the starfish onto the wreath. Glue on as many starfish as you prefer.

    • 7

Tie four to six green and red ribbons into bows.

    • 8

Hot-glue the ribbons around the seashell wreath to make the wreath look on-theme for Christmas.

    • 9

Wrap a 12-inch piece of florist wire around the back of the wreath and form it into a loop so that you can hang up the wreath.
