1
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit and gather your ingredients.

2
Open the cookie dough and press it in the pan. The size of your pan doesn't matter, but traditionally 16-inch pizza pans are used. You want your pan to be filled with about a 1/2 inch of cookie dough all the way around.

3
Place the pan in the oven. Cooking time will vary depending on the size of the pan you're using, but it should take 20 to 30 minutes. This is double or even triple the normal baking time for cookies, but this allows your cake to bake more evenly.
-
4
Check your cookie cake often by inserting a toothpick in the middle of the cake and pulling it out. If the toothpick has raw dough on it, the cake isn't ready. When the middle of the cake is turning golden brown, it's done.
-
5
Take your cookie cake out of the oven and let it sit. It will continue to cook until the pan cools down.
-
6
Wait until the cookie cake has completely cooled. This usually takes from an hour to several hours, depending on the size of the cookie cake. You can speed this process by placing it in the fridge.
-
7
Decorate your cookie cake by using store-bought frosting. Most cookie cakes have frosting around the edges rather than on the whole cake. Mimic this design by taking small spoonfuls of frosting and dabbing them along the edge of the cookie cake.
-
8
Cut your cookie cake with a pizza cutter to make easy slices, then enjoy.
