The Disabled American Veterans organization is a congressionally chartered 501(c) nonprofit organization serving the country's disabled veterans since in 1920. With over one million members, the Disabled American Veterans organization is one of the nation's largest organization's connecting with and serving the needs of disabled veterans.

Prepare a concise profile of the disabled veteran you want to find. Include the veteran's full name, war time service dates and the war time service related injury the veteran suffered in combat.

Post your profile online at the Disabled American Veteran's facebook homepage. Explain why you want to locate the disabled veteran. For instance, if you are looking for someone whom you served with, you would want to state this information in addition to the profile you prepared.

Contact the Disabled American Veteran's organization in writing. You can write them either by email or through the postal service. State the profile of the disabled veteran you are trying to contact and why.
