How to Assemble High School Graduation Announcements

How to Assemble High School Graduation Announcements thumbnail
You can send your family and friends invitations to your graduation.

A high school graduation invitation includes the graduation date, school and address of the location of the ceremony and may even specify the graduate. A name card is often used to identify the graduate instead of the actual invitation. Many who order high school graduation invitations will also have two envelopes, a response card so guests can RSVP, tissue paper and a reception card indicating the time and place of the party that will follow the graduation. All of these items should be assembled, or placed in the envelope, in a specific order to help the recipients find and enjoy every important piece of the invitation.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the name card into the two slits on top of the graduation invitation. The name card displays the student's full name. If you have no name card, skip this step.

    • 2

Put a senior photo, if you have one, on top of the invitation.

    • 3

Place one piece of protective tissue over the invitation and photo.

    • 4

Put the reception card, if applicable, on top of the tissue paper, photo and graduation invitation.

    • 5

Address the RSVP envelope. This envelope fits inside the larger, outer envelope and will allow your guests to return the response, or RSVP card. Write your name and address in the proper place at the center of the envelope. Make sure to add the correct postage.

    • 6

Place the flap of the inner envelope over the response card. Don't put the response card inside the inner envelope. Finally, place the response card and corresponding envelope on top of the reception card, tissue paper, photo and graduation invitation.

    • 7

Slide all items inside the outer envelope.

    • 8

Address the outer envelope. Put your name and address in the return field in the top-left corner of the envelope, and write your guest's name and address in the proper position at the center of the envelope.
