Find Old Elementary Yearbooks

Yearbooks offer a way for students to keep memories alive through pictures and remembrances. Typically, yearbooks are published by high schools. However, some elementary schools now publish annual yearbooks. If you want to find an old elementary school yearbook, you can look for the yearbook on several websites that locate and sell old yearbooks, contact your elementary school library or reach out to former classmates.

Instructions

    • 1

Open a web browser on your computer and check with several websites that specialize in locating and selling old yearbooks, such as Old-Yearbooks, Classmates and E-Yearbook. Search for your school yearbook by entering the location of your elementary school and the dates you attended. The websites will search for the yearbook and notify you if and when the yearbook is located. Generally, searches are free of charge, but there is a cost to purchase the old yearbook.

Contact your elementary school and ask the librarian if the library retains copies of old yearbooks. If the library has the specific yearbook you want to find, you can go to the library in person and make photocopies. Generally, libraries will not allow you to checkout yearbooks. If your elementary school does not have a library, check with your schools administration to see if the school maintains copies of old yearbooks.

Reach out to former elementary school classmates and see if anybody can locate a copy of the yearbook. If you are not currently in touch with former classmates try to locate old classmates using social networking websites like Facebook, MySpace or LinkedIn.
