• Construction paper
• Scissors
• Single hole punch
• Clear acrylic paint

Instructions

1. Cut out a three-inch square from green construction paper.

2. Fold the paper square in half and run your finger down the fold to make it flat.

3. Using scissors, cut the folded paper into half a rounded leaf shape, so that when opened, it will look like a leaf.

4. Fold the folded leaf back and forth in an accordion-like manner starting at the cut edge, making each fold about 1/4-inch wide.

5. Open up the folded fan leaf and punch a hole in one end using a single hole punch.

6. Paint both sides of the leaf using clear acrylic paint. Allow the paint to dry, then apply a second coat. Once it is dry, you can string the paper fan leaf onto a chain or string to wear it as a necklace.
