You can monitor your security settings with a single television.

Eclipse cameras are CCTV (closed circuit TV) devices. The cameras are used to monitor your home or office and, although it does not pick up sound and only records in black and white, should suffice for the casual user. When using a multicam setup, such as eight, you need to hook up the eight different Eclipse cameras to an eight-tuner security DVR box. This box then connects directly to a television monitor.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Connect a coaxial cable into the "Video Out" port of each of the Eclipse security cameras.

    • 2

Attach the opposite end of the coaxial cables into the "In" ports on the security DVR. Each coaxial cable gets its own connection port.

    • 3

Plug the ninth coaxial cable into the "Out" port on the security DVR. Connect the opposite end of the cable into the "In" port on your television monitor and power up all of the equipment. The video signals now load directly into the DVR, which then displays the content onto your security TV monitor

Tips & Warnings

  • If the video signal from one of the cameras is not appearing on the screen, you have two options. The first is to use the input change button on the DVR. This flips through the video feed that is appearing on the monitor. If you are still receiving a blank image for one particular camera you may have a problem with the cable connection and must check to make sure that the cable is completely inserted into both the DVR and the Eclipse camera. It is possible the cable came loosened during the installation.
