How to Get Past the ATI Installation Verification

You can bypass the ATI installation verification by downloading the latest version of the Catalyst Control Center, which includes the latest display driver, from the AMD website. The ATI installation verification is an error message that shuts down access to your graphics card's settings. Your video card's older ATI display driver often refuses to launch a previous installed version of Catalyst Control Center because it is no longer supported by the manufacturer.

Instructions

1. Download the "ATI Catalyst Control Center" for your specific video card. Save the package to your desktop (see Resources).

2. Double-click the "Catalyst Control Center" install package on your desktop to launch the "Installation Wizard."

3. Click the "Next" button followed by the "Browse" button to select a Windows location where you would like to save the necessary files, or you can opt to install the files to the default location, which is "Program Files (x86)/ATI/Catalyst Control Center."

4. Click the "Next" button. Your computer screen may flash for a few moments while the ATI display driver is installed.

5. Click the "Finish" button to close the "Installation Wizard," and then click the "Yes" button when Windows asks to restart your computer.
