How to Send a CSD Command to an SD Card
A CSD is a heavily compressed file used on hand-held PCs. The compression allows you to save the data onto a portable flash drive, such as an SD card. To send a CSD file from your computer system to an SD card, you need an SD card reader built into the computer or an externally connected SD card reader.

1
Connect the USB cable running form your external SD card reader to a USB port on your computer. If you have an internal SD card reader, you do not need to perform this process.
-
2
Insert the SD card into the SD card slot, then close out any AutoPlay window that appears on the screen.
-
-
3
Click "Start" and "Computer" and double-click the removable device icon. This loads a window with all the files currently saved on the SD card.
-
4
Click-and-drag the CSD file you have created into the open window. Once the progress bar disappears, the file has finished uploading to the SD card. Eject the SD card and you are ready to use the hardware on any computer system.
