How to Write the ROM 102 Card With a Pansat 3500SD

The Pansat 3500SD is a free-to-air satellite receiver used to obtain unscrambled television signals from around the world. Unlike some receivers that require upgrades through USB uploads, the Pansat receiver requires a ROM 102 card. This card, when inserted into the receiver, writes the programming codes onto the receiver, informing it of available stations. It works in a similar manner to the access cards used by some DirecTV and Dish Network receivers.

Instructions

    • 1

Power down the Pansat 3500SD receiver. You can't upgrade and write the ROM 102 information to the receiver while it is on.

    • 2

Open the card access panel. If there is a ROM 102 card currently inserted, push it in slightly to unlock the card. Slide the card out to expose the card slot.

    • 3

Slide the ROM 102 card you have into the open slot, then close the access panel and power on the Pansat 3500SD receiver. Wait a moment and the ROM 102 card information writes its programming data directly to the receiver.
