  • Ladder
  • Pressure washer
  • Silicone caulk
  • Caulk gun

Instructions

      Climb up a ladder and inspect the roof to locate the seams. Mark the location of all seams.

      Clean the roof surface with a pressure washer. Spread the water across the entire roof, starting at the highest point and moving down to the gutters. Let the debris and dust run down to the gutters for removal.

      Tighten any loose screws. Cover seams with silicone sealant. Put the sealant in a caulk gun and run a bead over any seams. Cover all screws heads with silicone sealant.

      Pour a can of metal primer into an HVLP spray gun and begin spraying the surface of the roof with the primer starting at a top corner and working to the other side. Refill the spray gun as necessary and continue until the entire roof has been covered with a metal primer. Wait two hours for the primer to dry.

      Cover the roof with a roof sealer. Pour it into the spray gun and apply it following the same directions as for the primer. Wait at least six hours for the roof to dry.
