How to Fix a Carpet Seam
Your carpet has seams where the installers glued together sections of carpet during installation. Carpet seams can pull apart, especially in high-traffic areas, leaving your carpet looking raggedy. Over time the glue can simply dry out, or constant wear and tear on the carpet eventually can pull the sections apart, leaving a gap in the flooring. You can use a carpet seam adhesive to close the hole and fix the seam, leaving your carpet looking good again. Does this Spark an idea?

Pull the carpet on one side of the seam as far back as possible to create a slight opening. You want to be able to reach the bottom of the carpet with the seam adhesive tube.

2
Apply the seam adhesive along the bottom edge of the carpet, avoiding the pile of the carpet. Spread the glue with the applicator so it covers the entire open edge on that side.
