Microsoft Silverlight is an Internet-based application that improves the performance of browsers and ensures that you are able to view the latest sites on the Internet. If you are running into trouble when attempting to install Silverlight, you must figure out what exactly is causing the issue; more than likely, your computer does not meet the minimum system requirements. If this is the case, you must upgrade your computer in order to use Microsoft Silverlight

Check to make sure that you have enough available hard-drive space for the installation. Click "Start," select "Computer" and then right-click the hard-drive icon and choose "Properties"; this opens a window that displays how much storage space you have available on the computer. If you have less than a gigabyte available, you must remove programs and files to make room for Silverlight.

Upgrade your Internet browser. Download the latest version of your browser from its website. If you don't have the latest browser installed, Microsoft Silverlight will not function.
