How to Enroll in Hartnell College
Hartnell College is a community college located in Salinas, California. The school has a transfer agreements with California State Universities and University of California campuses, allowing students to transfer their two year Associate degrees to these colleges to continue their education and obtain a Bachelor's degree. Hartnell offers day, evening and weekend classes to fit your schedule. The classes available on weekends will vary.

Visit the Hartnell College Office of Admission & Records. (See Resources.)

Complete the Application for Admission and provide it to an Admission & Records employee.

Submit your official high school or GED and any prior college transcripts. Official transcripts are unopened transcripts with the official seal from the school that provides them. You can have the your transcripts mailed to Hartnell College by the school providing them or take the transcripts with you to your appointment with your counselor.

Schedule an appointment with a counselor to create an Educational Plan. This plan will detail your degree goals and the classes required to obtain your degree. In order to schedule your appointment you must call the Hartnell counselor office at 831-755-6820.

Register online using the P.A.W.S. system or by phone using the ASAP* Telephone Registration system. You must register for the classes that your counselor listed on your Educational Plan.

Submit your payment for your registration fees to the Cashiers' Office located on the school's campus. All registration fees must be paid before the end of the first week of classes to avoid any holds to your records.

Visit the Associated Students of Hartnell College or ASHC office on campus to obtain your student identification card.

Click "Apply & Register."

Click "Application/Registration" in the "Open Registration" section.

Click "Application for Admission" in the "Step 1" section.

Click "Apply online (CCC Apply)."

Click "California Community Colleges Online Application Center" at the bottom of the page.

Click "New User" to create an user account, then click "Create my account."

Click "Apply" from the California Community College CCCApply home page.

Click "Continue" and select "Hartnell College" from the colleges list.

Click "Begin application for Hartnell College" after reading through Hartnell Welcome Page.

Select your educational goal and the term of school you would like to attend, followed by your personal information including your social security number, your address, and residency information. After you have completed the required information, click "Submit my completed application." Your application information will be submitted to Hartnell College within two days of applying.
