How to Install Weed Eater Batteries

The battery that comes with your Weed Eater doesn't come fully charged from the factory. You first need to plug the battery into the charger pack and plug the pack into the wall for at least six hours to fully charge the battery. Once the battery has fully charged, you need to install it into the back of the Weed Eater properly. If the battery isn't placed into the engine, it will not start. Does this Spark an idea?

      Move the ignition switch on the Weed Eater's handle into the "O" position to ensure it is off and can't start accidentally.

      Open the back cover where the battery is housed by pushing the tab in and pulling the cover upward. Remove the battery cover.

      Line up the "+" terminal on the battery with the "+" terminal inside the battery housing area. Line up the "-" terminal on the battery with the "-" terminal inside the battery housing area.

      Lower the battery into the housing area slowly. Push the battery down until you hear it click into place.

      Refit the battery cover over the battery. Push down on the cover until it clicks into place. Move the ignition switch into the "On" setting to start the Weed Eater.

  • Do not use any battery other than a Weed Eater brand battery.
