How to Take Apart a VPX Battery
VPX batteries are battery packs containing two separate batteries that usually total 7 volts. These battery packs are commonly used in small RC vehicles such as cars or planes. To get inside one of these battery packs in order to diagnose a problem, you can open up it up in a short amount of time.

Peel off the factory sticker from the body of the battery pack to expose a seam near the end of the pack.

Insert the tip of the screwdriver into the seam and pop off the end of the battery pack to expose the ends of the battery cells and expose the terminals.

Slide the battery cells out of the housing and set the housing aside.

Lift the terminal up off the ends of the battery cells to expose the connector wires underneath. Use the wire cutters to clip the wires and remove the terminals from the battery cells.
