Cover the focal wall with the damask. In a bedroom, the wall the bed leans against usually functions as the focal wall; it's where you want to draw the eye when you first come into a room. One way to incorporate the damask wallpaper into this look is to try a black damask wallpaper on the bed wall and then paint the surrounding walls a vibrant color like hot pink.

Dress up the inside of the closet with damask wallpaper. If you're also wallpapering the room with the damask, you may just want to add paper to the back wall of the closet or to the shelves. If you're papering a few select walls to create focus, then try to include the closet in your overall decorating scheme.

Line bookshelves with the damask wallpaper. Either paint the bookcase the same color as the walls surrounding the focal wall, or pull one of the colors from the damask itself. For example, if you have a black and white damask, paint the bookshelves black and add the damask wallpaper to the shelves.

Dress up an old dresser with the wallpaper. A number of options are available. Line the whole dresser with the damask wallpaper or just the inside of the drawers.

Line the inside of a lampshade to help tie the piece in with the rest of the decor in your daughter's room. This works well when you have a plain shade of a single color.

Cover a decorative screen with the damask wallpaper. Cover both sides of this piece or make it a two-toned piece by covering the front of the screen with the damask wallpaper and painting the back side with one of your room's other colors.

Add visual appeal to a picture gallery by covering the frames of your daughter's pictures with the wallpaper. Flat frames that have quite a large border work best for this. Another way to incorporate the damask wallpaper in your pictures is to substitute the damask for the normal matting in the frame.
