How to Burp a Refrigerator
Gas refrigerators are often found in recreational vehicles or trailer homes. During the transport of this type of refrigerator, it may become vapor-locked, causing it to cool improperly. In newer models, the problem typically only happens during extreme temperatures--near or above 100 degrees Fahrenheit--and is resolved by waiting until it's cooler in the evening to start it up. In older models-- before the early1980s--the refrigerator may need burping to resolve the issue. Burping a refrigerator is not difficult, but typically requires help from another person. Does this Spark an idea?
