Make your CDs look more professional by inserting a cover into your CD case.

When it became easy to burn CDs on home computers, it also became common for many people to have stacks of unlabeled or unmarked discs. Creating jewel case inserts will allow you to list your CDs' contents. Case inserts or covers also make your CDs look more professional or unique. There are software programs that will help format your image and text into the correct size so the printed image will fit into your CD case.

Instructions

    • 1

Print a jewel case insert with Easy CD & DVD Cover Creator (see Resources). This software will allow you to design a graphic for both the CD and case. Click the template type --- disc or case --- and insert your graphic. Then insert text on top of the graphic. For a jewel case insert, you can list the songs or files on the CD. This software is available for $9.95 (as of February 2011).

Create your own CD jewel case cover with DVD and CD Cover Print (see Resources). Select to design either a single or multiple image cover. Then insert your cover art into the template. There are tools for adjusting the color of the image and creating simple figures. Text can also be added to the cover design. This software cost $12.95 as of February 2011.

Design the CD case insert with CoverCreator 4.2 (see Resources). This application is available as a free download on Windows operating systems. The software allows you to create a basic layout. Insert images saved on your computer into the cover template, then add text.
