Neopets is an online gaming community where users can train and play with their very own digital pets. Players can interact with other community members and participate in elaborate games and plots. There are dozens of pet species for players to adopt in Neopia. One of these species is a Lenny. A Lenny is a bird-like creature that is tall and thin and known for being one of the brightest creatures in Neopia. If you choose to adopt a Lenny, you must feed him, play with him and groom him.

Feed your Lenny every day. Click on your Lenny to view his hunger status. If his status is red and says "hungry" or "very hungry," it's time to feed. A Lenny will eat just about anything in Neopia. Some of these treats are free, like omelets and scoops of jelly. You can find free treats by exploring the Neopets website. If you want to buy your Lenny food from a shop, you must earn Neopoints by playing games.

Groom him. If you brush, comb and shampoo your Lenny, his mood will improve. You can buy beauty supplies with your neopoints at the grooming parlor, located in the Neopian Bazaar.

Play with him. A Lenny will play with plush toys, dolls, keychains, musical instruments and crackers. To play with your Lenny, click on a toy in your inventory and scroll down to the "Play with Lenny" option. If you do not have any toys in your inventory, you can buy them with your Neopoints from the Neopian Plaza.

Customize your Lenny. You can paint your Lenny with a magic paintbrush to change his color. You can also dress him in his very own outfit. However, this is one of the trickier things to do on Neopets because paintbrushes and custom clothes are quite rare and are often very expensive.

Read to him. A Lenny is one of the smartest creatures in Neopia and he likes to read. When you read to your Lenny, you help him improve his intelligence score and make him smarter. To read to your Lenny, click on a book in your inventory and scroll down to the "Read to Lenny" option. The main book shop is located in Neopia Central.

Train your Lenny to fight. In addition to his intelligence, your Lenny also has magical capabilities that must be fostered. To train your Lenny, take him to the training academy on Krawk Island or the training school on Mystery Island. You can train him in strength, agility, endurance and defense.

Give your pet Lenny a pet of his own. Neopian petpets are literally pets for your Neopet. A Lenny with a petpet can access more Neopets site features than a Lenny without a petpet, like the Turmaculus. You can buy a petpet with your neopoints from the petpet shop located in Neopia Central.
