1
Measure from the top of your head down to the bottom of your feet using measuring tape. Next, think about how long of a train you would like your veil to have, using the measuring tape. Add your height in inches to the length of your train in inches. Purchase tulle or netting that fits these measurements and is 26 inches wide. If you want a veil piece that covers your face, purchase an additional piece that is measured from the top of your head to your chest.

Hand stitch the netting together carefully to create a puckered look. Fold the puckered end of your veil under and sew it to create a more seamless flowing headpiece. Using fabric glue attach your veil to a craft hair comb. Let this dry thoroughly. Upon drying, reinforce the veil and comb with a few sewing stitches.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the frontal headpiece of the veil, but attach the piece so that it will drape in the front. Glue and sew this to the same comb.

4
Sew the sides of your veil for a more tamed look. In order to do this, simply fold the edges inward about 1/5 of an inch to the backside of the netting. Use a sewing machine to secure the folds.

5
Apply crystals, faux flowers or even lining if desired to your veil. Use a sewing machine to line your veil and craft glue for any small adornments. To put in or take out your veil, simply stick the comb into your hair.

Tips & Warnings
For a fluffier veil, purchase multiple layers of netting and make the width of the veil greater than 26 inches.
For a more modern veil, consider colors like soft aquamarine or even light pink.
Tulle and netting are very delicate materials, so always handle them with care.
