How to Remove the AutoCAD LT 2006 CUI File

Before uploading your own customized AutoCAD CUI file (tablet menu file), you need to remove the original tablet menu file (CUI). The CUI file is an AutoCAD customization file that controls and defines the user interface throughout the AutoCAD program. The AutoCAD CUI Editor allows you to change existing elements and commands or create new ones. You also have the option of transferring previous copies of user interfaces from older versions of AutoCAD using this method.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the Windows "Start" button, "All Programs" and the "AutoCAD" folder. Double-click the "AutoCAD Customize User Interface (CUI) Editor" link to launch the interface.

    • 2

Type "CUI" in the AutoCAD command prompt interface. This will launch the Customize User Interface dialog box.

    • 3

Click the "All Customization Files" tab, expand "Legacy" and double-click the "Tablet Menus" link.

    • 4

Right-click on "Tablet Menu 1," then click "Delete" from the drop-down menu.

    • 5

Click the "Yes" button when asked if you wish to delete this item. Repeat above steps for any other remaining tablets.
