How to Reduce, Reuse & Recycle Paper Towels & Clothes
Recycling has been proven to be beneficial for the environment since it slows the use of natural resources and also prevents the unnecessary filling of landfills with materials that could be remade into new products. Paper and cloth are two materials that serve a wide variety of purposes and can therefore be remade into numerous products once their initial purposes have been fulfilled. Reducing, reusing and recycling paper towels and clothing can reduce your trash output and benefit others as well as the environment. Does this Spark an idea?

Use washable towels or rags instead of paper towels around the house or office to reduce your paper towel consumption.

Throw used paper towels into a paper bag; recycle them once the bag is full. The bag can either be dropped into a nearby recycling bin or taken directly to a recycling center.

Collect old clothes that are still in decent shape and take them to a local charity or used clothing center. These organizations can repair torn clothing so someone else can benefit from the donation.

Reuse old socks, underwear or t-shirts as cleaning rags around the house. Old socks are also useful as shoe covers when you are packing them for travel.

Utilize old blouses as wrappings for gifts. The fabric and general design are still often usable even if the garment can't be worn anymore or has holes. Cut the fabric with scissors to remove portions that you can use.

Fill an old sock with white rice and sew it shut with a sewing kit to create a hackysack. Old socks can also be used to make hand puppets for children and decorating them is a family activity that everyone can enjoy.
