How to Install a Bruno Stair Lift Battery
You can find a Bruno stair lift that has the capacity to hold 400 pounds, meaning it is solid. This is not to say that other models with less weight capacity aren't solid; each Bruno stair lift has its own specifications. Some are made of heavy aluminum and run on a track of steel. Some Bruno stair lifts have a DC power source, 24 to 38 volts, and this battery is rechargeable. Some models can run without constant connection to AC power. Turn the Bruno stair lift key off on some models; other models have a power switch that turns on and off. Make sure the power is off so the chair will remain in the same position.

Lift the lid of the battery holder on the stair lift. Make sure the LED light is black or gray, signifying that the power is off, before lifting the lid.

Pull out the battery and replace it with a new one. Replace the lid of the battery housing. Match the positive and negative contacts correctly ("+" with "+" and "-" with "-") between the battery and the battery compartment.

Insert the key back into the switch and turn the switch to "ON" or push the switch back to the "ON" position.

Look at the LED light. If the LED light is green, then the battery is working. Plug in the AC power cord to an outlet to charge the battery.

Tips & Warnings
For emergency purposes, alternating two batteries and keeping a spare battery fully charged increases the number of return trip rides during a power outage.
Never install a battery that is leaking liquid. The acid leakage can damage components inside the stair lift battery compartment.
