How to Make a Bubble Wrap Jumpsuit
Bubble Wrap is plastic sheeting that is embedded with numerous air-filled plastic pockets on one side and is flat on the other. The sheeting is available in large, medium or small bubbles and is typically used as protective packing for mailed or shipped goods. But it also makes for some interesting apparel if you're adventurous or just want to get noticed. Try making a Bubble Wrap jumpsuit to rival the outfits of comic book heroes. It won't protect you much from a fall, but you'll probably get some laughs out of it.

1
Get an appropriately-sized jumpsuit pattern. Select a loose-fitting pattern because the Bubble Wrap will provide virtually no give and the seams will tear open if the garment is too tight. Make sure you can bend at the knees and elbows, or choose a tight-fitting style that requires you to remain stiff and stationary once it's on.

2
Lay out the Bubble Wrap. Spread the wrap out, flat side up, on a clean, flat working surface and lay the pattern on top of it per pattern instructions. Choose small bubbles for a lean look or larger ones that will make the jumpsuit appear puffy. Put all pattern pieces out onto the Bubble Wrap. Use masking tape to tack the pattern onto the Bubble Wrap.

Cut out the pattern pieces. Using sharp scissors, cut out each piece and lay adjacent pieces side by side on a flat work surface. Keep track of pattern pieces by marking a small number onto the Bubble Wrap, if necessary.

Glue Bubble Wrap sections together to form the jumpsuit. Apply glue to the flat side of the wrap and hold in place until glue is set. Note that the bubbles should be on the outside of the garment. Continue gluing pieces together until the jumpsuit is fully assembled. Take care not to burst any bubbles in the process of applying the glue.
