How to Set Up a Transcription Foot Pedal by VEC

One of their products, the VEC USB transcription foot pedal, the "Infinity Foot Pedal," is a foot pedal accessory used for audio transcription through the computer. It allows a transcriptionist to start, stop, and rewind audio using their feet, making transcription easier and faster for businesses. It is very simple to install because of it's USB connection and easy-to-use installation software.

Instructions

1. Open the packaging of the VEC Infinity Foot Pedal set, and remove the contents. You should have the foot pedal set itself, as well as an installation CD.

2. Turn on your computer system.

3. Insert the USB cord from the transcription foot pedal to the USB port on your computer. Windows will pop up with an alert that it has detected new hardware, and will automatically install the drivers to allow you to use the VEC foot pedal.

4. Insert the CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive. The installation software will automatically start.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the program onto your computer's hard drive. You will be asked to pick a directory to install the software, and you can click the "Install" button to start the installation.

6. Close the set-up screen when installation is complete.

7. Start the software and test your Infinity Foot Pedal accessory.
