Grass trimmers provide a convenient way to trim grass and weeds along fences, hard surfaces and around trees.       Pull the line guide plate from the bottom of the Hassle Free trimmer head. Remove old line from the guide plate.

      Choose a red Hassle Free trimmer line for grass or a black one for heavy grass and weeds.

      Insert the guide plate back into the Hassle Free trimmer head. Align the arrow on the plate with the letter B when using small-diameter red line or A when using heavier-diameter black line.

      Bend the length of line in half forming a U shape. Insert the ends of the trimmer line into the holes on the side of the Hassle Free trimmer head.

      Push the line through the line-guide holes. Grasp both ends of the line and pull until the line is held securely in place. Adjust the line so the free ends are of equal length.
