How to Tone Your Face Muscles

How to Tone Your Face Muscles thumbnail
To keep a youthful, toned face, do facial exercises daily.

Signs of aging, especially on your face, are inevitable. Even if you have worn sunscreen since the day you were born and washed you face every single night before bed, you will still eventually have saggy, baggy skin on your face and neck. If you don't want to use surgical and injectable methods, exercise to help tighten and tone your face. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

Inhale air and inflate your cheeks while pursing your lips. Hold that breath while you move the air from one check to the other. Continue moving the air back and forth, flexing the opposite cheek, until you need to take another breath. Repeat this exercise four times each day.

Smile with only your lips while the rest of your face is neutral. Do not move your eyes with your smile. Hold for 10 seconds and release. Repeat five times.

    • 3

Open your eyes as wide as you can, as if surprised. Keep your brow neutral and un-furrowed. Look straight ahead and hold with eyes wide for 10 seconds. Repeat four times.

Press your nasolabial folds with your fingertips. These are the creases that run from your nostrils to the corners of your mouth when you smile. With your face relaxed, press gently into these folds. Continue to apply pressure as you smile. Your fingers will provide resistance to the muscles you use for smiling. Hold your smile with pressure on these folds for 5 seconds. Release the pressure and the smile and then repeat 30 times.

Make your face as wide as possible. Open your mouth, raise your brows and widen your eyes. Then bring all of your facial muscles in toward your nose. Hold for five seconds and then reverse. Crunch your face up toward the tip of your nose, tightening all of the muscles. Hold for five seconds. Repeat 10 times.
