Instructions

    • 1

Remove the spit rods and the rotisserie basket from the oven and wash them by hand or in the dishwasher before using the oven for the first time.

    • 2

Place the oven on the counter top and check to make sure there is at least 8 inches of space around all sides of the oven. This includes cupboards above the oven.

    • 3

Trim away excess fats from poultry and meat roasts before roasting in the Rotisserie. This will prevent fatty portions of the meat from hanging off the spits and dripping during the rotation.

    • 4

Attach the meat to the spit rods. Insert the spit rods through a whole chicken or a turkey up to 15 lbs. Insert the spit rods in one side of the breast area and out the other side of the breast. Use an included elastic food tie to tie each wing to the spit rods. Insert the spit rods through roasts, centering the rods through the center of the meat and pushing the meat to the center point of the rods.

    • 5

Place the gear wheel on the end of the spit rods after loading the meat. Place the drip tray on the bottom of the oven and insert the grate cover onto the drip tray. Snap the loaded spit rods into the oven -- position "A" for a large cut of meat or position "B" for a smaller cut of meat. Close the oven door.

    • 6

Turn the oven on so it begins cooking in "Normal Rotation." The spit rods will rotate the meat inside the oven while the temperature heats. Poultry requires between 10 and 15 minutes per lb. Beef roasts require between 15 and 20 minutes per lb. Set the timer for up to four hours of cooking.

    • 7

Watch the rotation to make sure the meat doesn't touch the heating element. If it does, stop the oven, open it and rearrange the meat so it doesn't touch the element.

    • 8

Open the door and pull the entire spit rods assembly out of the oven when the food finishes cooking. Remove the gear wheel, pull the spit rods out of the meat and place the meat onto a serving platter.

    • 9

Use the setting "No Heat Rotation" if you wish to continue to rotate the meat without heat after the meat finishes cooking.

Tips & Warnings

  • Load the basket with smaller foods such as burgers, steaks or chops. Press the basket lid into place so the food will not shift in the basket. Insert the spit rods into the rotisserie basket and then place the gear wheel onto the ends of the spit rods by pushing it into place.

  • Check meat temperature with a thermometer to make sure it cooks completely.
