How to Organize a Large Number of Digital Pictures

Once you save your photos to a computer, you are able to print multiple copies and store them for safekeeping on an external hard drive. Organizing your digital photos allows you to find the pictures you are looking for with ease. If you have multiple photos to organize, it might take time. But once you have all of your current photos organized, you can organize new photos as you save them to your computer.

Instructions

1. Title the pictures with a date or description when you are saving them to your computer. If the photos are already saved to your computer, right-click the photo and click "Rename" to manually change the photo's name.

2. Create new folders to sort photos into different albums. Title the folders by the name of the event or by the month and year if they are random photos.

3. Click the photos and drag them over to the new folders you have created. Drop the photos into the new folders.
