How to Tell What Model a Land Rider Bike Is
LandRider bikes are lightweight mountain bikes with fat tires and a comfortable design aimed at casual riders. They are the top direct-sell bicycles in the U.S., according to the LandRider website. These bikes feature a patented AutoShift design and come in five different models for both men and women: Comfort Road, Deluxe, Deluxe SP, Elite AutoShift and Hybrid. Each model has some distinct features that set it apart from the others.

1
Check the bike for an upright riding position, a 24-speed Shimano shifting system, an extra-wide seat and an ergonomically correct shift lever incorporated directly into the brake system. If the bike has these features, it's probably a LandRider Comfort Road bike.
-
2
Observe whether the LandRider bike has a champagne finish and a 14-speed Shimano manual shifting system instead of an AutoShift design. If it does, it is probably a Hybrid model.

3
Lift up the LandRider bike and note how heavy it is. If it seems to have significant weight and is made of steel instead of aluminum, it's likely a Deluxe model.
-
4
Determine whether the bike has the proper reinforcements to accommodate a person weighing 300 lbs. or more. According to the LandRider website, these reinforcements include a "Cro-moly alloy frame construction with a reinforced seat post; a reinforced Cro-moly alloy tig-welded front fork; doublewall alloy rims with reinforced spokes and an extra wide and comfortable Gel Comfort seat." The Deluxe SP model can offer support to riders weighing up to 450 lbs.

5
Inspect the LandRider bike to determine whether it is recommended for racing, weighs less than 300 lbs. and is made of aluminum alloy. If it does, it is probably the Elite model.
