How to Stop Netware Broadcast
Broadcast messages in Novell's Netware are for users' notification and benefit. However, some users might become annoyed and overwhelmed by these broadcasts. One common use of this messaging system is to send quick alerts directly to all logged in and connected users. Using this method, a network administrator can let other users know when the system needs to shut down for maintenance. This action disconnects users from the server and can cause data loss. If you don't have a need for these broadcast messages, you can prevent them from showing on your screen.

Access the specific workstation where you want to stop receiving Netware broadcasts. Right-click on the letter "N" that is colored red. Select "Novell Client Properties."

Choose "Receive Broadcast Messages." Select "None" to stop Netware broadcasts.
