How to Remove a Shield in Neopets
Neopets shields identify players by assigning them a shield according to how long they have been a member. The shields range from "Newbie" status for new players, to shields people who have been members for six years. Although the date must always be displayed, you can change your shield image using HTML codes. Removing a custom shield takes no time at all; once you have logged into your account and located the code it takes only a moment to remove it.

Navigate to the Neopets homepage at www.neopets.com.

Login to your account by clicking "Login To Neopets!" above the tabs at the top of the page. Enter your username and password then click the "Log In" button.

Click on the "User Preferences" tab from along the top of your profile page.

Delete the HTML code from the box titled "Image URL Here" to successfully remove your Neopets shield. If you have entered code for the shield in your "About Me" section, then it should also be deleted. Highlight the code using your cursor and hit the "Delete" key to remove the code.

Click "Save" to save the changes to your Neopets profile.
