How to Create a Curriculum Mapping Template

Save

Curriculum mapping is a term for detailing content covered in a particular subject area in a certain grade over a period of time. For example, a curriculum map may explain what is taught in third grade math during a school year. Mapping improves curriculum by identifying curricular overlaps and gaps, helping teachers align curriculum with standards, improving collaboration among educators, and aiding teachers to prepare students for future grades. Because curriculum differs from school to school and district to district, it's often necessary for teachers or faculties to generate their own templates for curriculum mapping.
