When arc welding, you will need to decide what type of welding rod you will use. A standard welding rod great for deep penetration welds on both steel and iron is a model number 6010 arc welding rod. There are a variety of rods with different diameters and shield coating, but for standard welding jobs, the 6010 will be perfect.
Things You'll Need
- Arc welder
- 6010 rod
