Lay the piece of card on a flat surface. Measure the card, and mark 20 centimeters by 20 centimeters. A 20-centimeter card will result in a box with a base of approximately 6 centimeters. Adjust the size according to the size of your cake. Cut out the marked square on the card.
-
2
Draw an X through the middle of the piece of card, using a ruler. Fold one corner of the card into the center of the X. Repeat with each of the four corners. Firmly press down the folds, to create firm creases. You should now have a half-sized square.

Fold the sides of the small square to the center, one at a time. Press down firmly to make deep creases. Lift the new folds, so they are standing vertically to create double-sided walls. When all sides are raised and even, put a small amount of glue under each corner on the floor of the box. Secure the corners to the base of the box by pressing firmly.

Tie the ribbon around the box to hold the sides in position. Tie the ribbon in a tight knot, followed by a decorative bow. Put the cake inside the box.
