Instructions for a CorningWare Crock Pot

CorningWare is a type of cookware that can handle extreme temperatures. Usually you can use CorningWare products in ovens, microwaves, refrigerators and freezers with no adverse affects. If you have a slow cooker at home, the pot is likely a CorningWare pot. Basic usage instructions are the same on all pots. Once cooked, you can even leave your food in the CorningWare pot for refrigeration and then insert it directly back into the cooker to be re-heated. Does this Spark an idea?

      Prepare the food that you want to cook in the CorningWare pot according to your recipe.

      Put the food in the CorningWare pot when you are ready to begin cooking it.

      Place the glass lid on the pot.

      Plug the slow cooker into your wall outlet and turn the cook setting knob to your desired setting. Settings options are 1-Low, 2-High or Auto. In the "Auto" setting, it cooks on high for two hours and then changes to low until you power it off. The "Low" setting is for cooking eight to 10 hours and the "High" setting is for cooking four to six hours.

      Turn the setting knob to the "Off" position when the food is done and you are ready to serve. Unplug the unit from the wall outlet and remove the lid to begin serving. If you want to remove the CorningWare pot from the cooker, use oven mitts because it will be hot.
