Position the Murray push mower on a level surface in a position that allows for easy access and movement around the mower.

Locate the throttle control that is mounted to the handle of the mower.

Trace the throttle cable extending from the bottom of the throttle control down toward the engine.

Follow the cable to the point where it connects to the throttle control plate of the carburetor.

Verify the position of the carburetor through identification of the air filter mounted to the carburetor for air intake.
