How to Cite the Qur'an

Save

Ancient texts such as the Bible and the Qur'an have specific guidelines for citation that differ from other written texts. The format for proper citation will depend on whether you are adhering to APA or MLA guidelines. APA guidelines do not require that an ancient text such as the Qur'an be listed in a paper's bibliography. MLA style, on the other hand, sets up specific guidelines for the proper citation of the Qur'an.
