How to Contact the GOP

The Republican National Committee office is in Washington, D.C.

GOP, or Grand Old Party, is another name for the Republican Party. The Republican National Committee raises money for Republican candidates, writes a party platform and holds conventions to choose candidates for president and vice president of the United States every four years. While individual Republican officeholders choose their own positions on the issues, the Republican National Committee establishes positions for the party as a whole. State Republican parties support candidates within their states and exercise specific powers that vary depending on state laws and traditions.

Contact the National GOP

1. Write a letter to the Republican National Committee. Fax your letter to 202-863-8820 or mail it to the following address:

2. Phone the Republican National Committee at 202-863-8500.

3. Send an email to the Republican National Committee at [e-mail].

4. Visit the Republican National Committee Facebook page (see Resources) and express your opinion.

Contact Your State GOP

1. Visit the homepage of the Republican National Committee website.

2. Scroll down the page to the section titled "Go Local."

3. Click on the link for your state. The website for the state Republican party will open. Scroll to the bottom of the page for contact information. If the information is not there, click on the "Contact Us" link near the top of the page.

Tips & Warnings

• As of January 2011, the links for Republican Party branches in U.S. territories all led to pages on the Republican National Committee website.
