How to Remodel a Bathroom Online

Planning your bathroom remodel online is a great way to save time and money. You can select the dimensions and floor plan of the finished bathroom to find the right appliances and fixtures to create the perfect design. These applications also allow you to print the design, which makes it easy to show your design to the experts at the supply store to ensure that you get the proper products.

Instructions

1. Navigate to an online bathroom design tool (see Resources).

2. Create a free account and download any required plug-ins. Follow the onscreen instructions for account creation and installation. Not all tools require this step .Some tools, such as the one from Kohler, will not let you print the final design without being registered.

3. Select the floor plan for your finished bathroom. All tools feature a variety of predefined shapes common to bathrooms in the United States. Some tools also allow users to input custom measurements if your bathroom does not fit any of the standard layouts.

4. Add room elements such as windows, doors and internal walls to the floor plan. Click the desired element to place it on the floor plan. Use the drag and drop interface to position the elements in the proper positions.

5. Add bathroom products and fixtures to the floor plan in the same manner as the room elements in the previous step.

6. Click the "Print" button when you have finished designing the bathroom. Click the "Save" button if you want to modify the design in the future.
