Mount the interior cabinet lock inside the cabinet door, close to the knob or handle. Depending on the variety of lock, you may need to mount the lock with a set of screws. Other locks require only the removal of a plastic film to set the adhesive.

Press the center of the exterior loop lock to release the strings into large loops.

Loop the strings over the knobs of the hanging cabinet, then pull the ends tightly through the lock until the cabinet doors can no longer be opened. The lock is often released by pushing a release trigger on the lock.
