Instructions

    • 1

Lift the vehicle's hood to gain access to the battery. The negative cable acts as a ground for the vehicle's electrical system and should be disconnected from the battery before removing the factory stereo or installing the Alpine deck.

    • 2

Loosen the bolt on the negative battery cable's clamp with a pair of pliers or an adjustable wrench. Lift the cable away from the negative battery terminal and set it aside. Move to the interior of the vehicle.

    • 3

Remove the factory stereo deck from the vehicle's stereo mounting dock. See the shop or repair manual for precise stereo removal instructions. Slide the deck from the dock and disconnect the stereo wiring and antenna cable from the back of the stereo.

    • 4

Insert the faceplate adapter into the vacant stereo dock until it locks into place within the dashboard. Use a double DIN faceplate adapter to accommodate the Alpine touch screen stereo unit. Pull the stereo wiring and antenna cables from the back of the dock to the front of the vehicle's dashboard.

    • 5

Plug the stereo wiring connectors into the wiring harness adapter leads. The adapter will allow you to connect varying vehicles to the new Alpine stereo. Connect the wiring harness adapter leads to the outlets on the left side of the Alpine's rear panel.

    • 6

Insert the antenna cable lead into the antenna input on the right side of the new head unit's rear panel. Slide the touch screen stereo unit into the faceplate adapter until it locks into place. Replace the dashboard panels that you removed per the repair manual to remove the factory stereo unit. Return to the vehicle's battery.

    • 7

Place the negative battery cable clamp back around the vehicle's negative battery terminal. Tighten the bolt on the cable's clamp with the wrench or pliers. Close the hood.
