Meyer manufactures snow plows which you can mount on any truck. Install the Meyer snow plows to work without electricity or wiring. If you would like to move your snow plow without getting down from your truck, you can wire a switch and motor to control the plow. The switch and motor will allow you to move the snow plow up and down, and side to side.

Step 1

Connect the power cable to the positive terminal on the car battery and use the adjustable wrench to secure the wire. Connect the other end of the power cable to the solenoid, connect it to the single screw on the solenoid and secure with the screwdriver. Connect another wire from either of the remaining screws on the solenoid, to the plow's motor. Secure the wire in place with the screwdriver.

Step 2

Connect the black cable to the coil on the back of the pump to the black cable of the switch. Secure the cable in place with the screwdriver.

Step 3

Connect the red cable to the coil closest to the front of the motor to the red cable of the switch. Secure the cable in place with the screwdriver.

Step 4

Connect the green cable to the coil behind the front coil that you connected the red cable to. Connect the other end of the green cable to the green cable from the switch. Secure in place with the screwdriver.

Step 5

Connect the ring from the rubber bushing that is part of the switch to the solenoid. Use the screwdriver to secure in place. Look at Resources for a wiring diagram.
