How to Change the Line on the Toro 12 Electric Trimmer
The Toro 12-inch trimmer is an electric yard trimmer. The trimmer is used to cut grass and weeds in areas inaccessible to a lawn mower, such as along the base of a fence, around trees and other foliage and along the base of your house. You can also use the trimmer to edge your yard, creating a tight look to the edge. The trimmer uses a nylon string to cut grass and weeds. Turn off the trimmer and unplug the power cord.

Twist the cap on the spool counterclockwise and remove the cap, along with the spool.

Remove any line remaining on the spool.

Hook one end of the replacement line into the slot on the spool, fully inserting it into the slot.

Wrap the entire line around the spool in the direction of the arrows. Wrap the line in level rows.

Hold the line and spool and insert the spool back onto the trimmer head. Insert the line into the line cutout on the trimmer head.

Hold the line in place and replace the cap. Secure the cap by twisting it clockwise.
