Instructions

    • 1

Locate the make and model of your dryer. The owner's manual will display this information on the front of the manual. If you do not have the manual, open the dryer door and look for the information on a sticker on the door or inside the dryer.

    • 2

Review available conversion kits and locate a kit that will work with your make and model. Conversion kits are available for all of the major dryer manufacturers.

    • 3

Unplug the dryer from the outlet. Never work on the dryer with the unit plugged in. This can result in injury or death.

    • 4

Locate the access panel on the dryer. This is located on the top or back of the dryer. The owner's manual will have the exact location for your model. Remove the screws with the screwdriver and remove the panel.

    • 5

Find the dryer's timer control and attach the timer control from the conversion kit. All conversion kits are slightly different. Consult the kit instructions for the exact process.

    • 6

Wire the conversion kit coin collector to the power button on the dryer. Most coin collectors for conversion kits are mounted to the top or front of the machine. Screws to mount the collector are provided with the kit. Follow the kit's instructions to wire the collector to the power switch and to mount the collector.

    • 7

Mount the door switch onto the inside of the dryer door. The door switches that come with the conversion kits keep the door from being opened while the dryer is running.

    • 8

Set the coin collector and power switch to the amount you wish to charge per cycle. Most conversation kits have a small display and a button that goes up in increments of 25 cents.

    • 9

Wrap all exposed wires with electrical tape and place the access panel door back on the machine. Screw the panel back in tightly. Plug the unit back in and test the dryer.
